Video from a Contour Camera (any will work) Use AIM Solo Data Logger in car (others are compatible as well). After race, Download, Import Data & Video from whatever sources into "Dashware" Software tool (GoPro owned). In it you can select from multiple displays, gauges, track maps etc and SYNC the video-data to produce the final product. Note: Most cameras produce some data now & it can be used if preferred. AIM is more complete & flexbile.

He recovered and has driven Vintage racing a number of times since.

Correct, he races amateur only for fun since that crash.

I found a video of him hitting the end of the pit wall and getting his car split in half, but it turns out he kept racing in Indycar afterwards. All til he had that hard hit to the rear one year later.

@@SuperVeeRacing smile don't be so sensitive is a remark I have heard often enough for several decades, and it is not helpful. We have raced together before, you should know not to jump to certain conclusions so quickly.

Laughing...I was wondering if you would see / hear the little "dig". Smile - I had traffic issues too! You! ...laughing. Fri & Sat Qualifying I was getting in the 1:44's and "best sectors" were indicating at least 1:43's so I was hoping to chase those (2) really fast FE2s, doubt I would have passed them but thought I might be able to pressure them. You probably not aware of all that....but we both would have been better off if I had "towed you" up to them. We lost a lot of ground fighting with each other (me with the 2 other FE's) as well, so too late by the time I got past you guys. We probably should have "worked together" from the beginning....next time!.....laughing of course I might have towed you off track down in Star Mazda as well which I did to myself, no help from anyone. We are skipping Willow Springs, going up to Thunderhill (Mar) and Laguna Seca (April) with the Formula Car Challenge series. Have Fun!!

Use a data Logger, in this case an AIM Solo or Solo 2. After the race you exportan "CSV" file of the data. Then I use a $50 software called "Dashware" to synchronize the data with the video file. Dashware allows you to use various cameras and data "loggers" ...does not have to be an AIM or GoPro or Contour. I happen to use and AIM Solo with a Contour Camera.

Left rear drive wheel simply came off as I went around the turn....and kept going. I was doing ~100 mph and it kept rotating to and over the fence and the bounced into the golf course.

No right now we are planning on Sonoma & Laguna Seca with Formula Car Challenge, we are planning on Watkins Glenn with SVRA and also Elkhart Lake in Sept.

Our Group was Formula Atlantics and couple of FE2's I think. The FC's with a few F4's ran in another group and I don't think they were F4 USA west but could be.

We are mostly running SCCA-FCC but will be at Apri 27/28 AutoClub event with SVRA. Possibly more later in the year.

Robert Merritt if you can next year can you race in the brickyard vintage/ open wheel world if there doing it again. Which I hope but it was kinda weird not seeing that Ralt Rt5

Francoise, this was an exhibition only not racing at all. However I am racing with SVRA this June as they did not agree with VARA's 13/13. I am honoring VARA's suspension, working on the grid for 2 races as part of it, and not racing with them until it completes. I hope Philippe's recovery is going well. Regards Robert

It's not up to SVRA to agree or not with VARA's 13/13 . There is enough evidence to show you caused the accident. But SVRA never contacted us to know our side. You're not respecting the rules, you haven't shown any remorse or accepting responsibility. You're arrogant by putting on RUclips your "accomplishments" on the track.

The track (big Oval) is just North of town but before the US Airforce base. This road course is just outside the main track...almost like a parking lot. On the West side if I remember correctly

+Genoshorts *** Geno it is pretty easy, I use "DASHWARE" to synch the video with the run data downloaded from an AIM Data logger in *.csv format. That provides the track map, speed, etc, even RPM and Speedometer if you data tool collects it. Then I use Microsoft Movie Maker to edit the integrated video. End to End about 2 to 3 hour process depending on how fancy I get and use of external video or snapshots.
